Wall Flip

3 · Intermediateparkour🧱 Wall

The wall flip uses a single step on a vertical wall to launch a backflip: a jog in, one foot planted at roughly hip height, then a push up and away from the wall that flows into the backward tuck. The step height matters β€” too low and the foot slips down, too high and the push drives the body back into the ground β€” and the momentum should be a controlled jog, since a sprint cannot be blocked upward through one leg. Off the wall the arms swing up like a backflip set, the free leg drives through to start rotation, and the eyes stay on the wall until the tuck begins rather than throwing the head back at the sky. The classic faults are stepping too high and leaning back too soon, both of which trade height for a heavy, backward-travelling landing. A solid backflip is the stated prerequisite, first attempts belong on a grippy wall over mats or soft ground, and the landing arrives on the balls of the feet with bent knees.
