A full twist jump is a straight bounce with a complete 360-degree spin, landing on the bed facing the same way as takeoff. The spin is set in the instant of leaving the bed: shoulders and arms turn in the chosen direction while the body stays tall and squeezed, since a long straight line twists faster and holds its axis. Coaches introduce it through the half twist — the 180 is drilled until it feels automatic, then more shoulder drive is added to bring the spin all the way around. Pulling the arms in tight speeds the rotation and opening them again slows it for landing. Finishing matters most on a garden trampoline: the feet return to the middle of the bed with knees soft to keep control of the next bounce.
Key cues
- Master the 180 before adding more spin
- Set the spin with shoulders and arms at takeoff
- Stay tall and squeezed through the twist
- Pull the arms in to speed the spin
