Cast Backflip

4 Β· AdvancedparkourπŸ‹οΈ Bar

A cast from support that becomes a backflip: the hips rise behind the bar, the legs snap back down as the arms drive off, and the rotation carries the body over to land on the feet. The snapdown is the whole trick β€” the weight leans slightly forward so the shoulders stay over the hands through the cast, the arms hold their push until the legs start down, and then both fire at the same instant. The cast itself stays well below handstand height, since extra height bleeds the momentum the snap needs, and the tuck only comes after the legs have snapped. It is commonly built through Cody and handstand-snapdown drills, and the landing should open early onto the balls of the feet with bent knees, erring under-rotated rather than over.

  2. Keep the cast well below handstand height
  3. Snap the legs down as the arms push off
