Kong Gainer

4 · Advancedparkour🏟️ Floor

The kong gainer plants a kong on an obstacle and rides the push straight into a backward flip on the far side. Everything hangs on the block: the approach comes in with the chest low and diving, and the hands convert that forward momentum into upward travel so the whole movement keeps rising through the vault β€” a high, floaty kong entry leaves nowhere to go but down. Off the push, the chest thrusts up and back while the knees swing through fast into a tight tuck, with the chin tucked only once rotation has begun; tucking too early kills the spin and tucking too late is how heads meet the obstacle. Coaches agree the real danger is half-commitment β€” opening out mid-rotation near the vault β€” so the build-up is deliberate: kong precisions to a higher level, tucked rotations onto mats behind the vault, then an angled version pushed off one side before squaring up. A confident kong and gainer are treated as non-negotiable prerequisites.
